Last week, the MPH team swapped spreadsheets and steering wheels for something altogether more nostalgic — a day out at the Prescott Hill Climb, surrounded by the sights, sounds (and smells!) of pre-war motoring.
Set in the rolling Cotswolds, Prescott is a place where history doesn’t just sit in a museum — it races up a hill. We watched everything from vintage Bentleys to nimble Bugattis taking on the famous climb, their engines singing the kind of mechanical music you just don’t hear anymore.
There’s something special about seeing these pre-war cars in motion. They’re not just beautiful machines — they’re living pieces of engineering history, kept alive by passionate owners who drive them exactly as intended.
It was a day of sunshine, conversation, and the occasional whiff of Castrol R in the air. We left with full cameras, big smiles, and a renewed appreciation for how far motoring has come (and, in some ways, how much we’ve lost).
A huge thanks to the organisers and drivers for making it such a memorable event. We’ll let the photos do the rest of the talking…
