The event brought together professionals from across the sector, including manufacturers, leasing brokers, dealers, and fleet specialists, creating a fantastic opportunity to connect with industry professionals and explore the latest developments within the market.
One of the highlights of the event was the opportunity to drive and experience a wide range of new vehicles across Millbrook’s unique testing environments. From high-speed tracks to challenging hill routes and everyday road simulations, the proving ground offered the perfect setting to properly evaluate the latest models from some of the industry’s leading manufacturers. With almost 200 vehicles available to view and test drive, the event once again showcased the pace of innovation and change within the automotive industry.
For the MPH Vehicle Solutions team, the event was a fantastic opportunity to not only network with industry professionals but also get hands-on experience with some exciting new models that are due to arrive on the UK market.
Launch of Lepas into the broker channel
One of the interesting developments discussed during the event was the launch of Lepas into the broker channel. The brand is looking to strengthen its position within the UK fleet and leasing sector by working closely with brokers and industry partners, highlighting the continued growth and competition within the automotive market.
AION Launches in the UK
Another manufacturer attracting attention at the event was AION, who showcased their new AION V model. The vehicle stood out thanks to its stylish design, spacious interior, and premium feel. One major differentiating factor for AION is the level of aftersales support included as standard. Their vehicles are set to come with:
- 8-year servicing
- 8-year warranty
- 8-year MOT cover
- 8-year roadside assistance
This level of manufacturer support certainly caught the attention of many attendees and could prove attractive for both fleet and retail customers alike.
The New Polestar 5 was showcased
The Polestar 5 was also one of the standout vehicles showcased during the event. The performance figures are impressive, with a dual motor system producing 884hp and 1,015Nm of torque, allowing 0-60 mph in just 3.2 seconds. The vehicle also features a large 112kWh battery with ultra-fast 800V charging technology and a potential range of up to 421 miles (WLTP).
Alongside the impressive performance, the Polestar 5 also demonstrated how quickly vehicle technology is evolving. Certain models at the event no longer featured a traditional rear window, instead replacing the rear-view mirror with a live camera feed. While innovative, it is definitely something that takes time to adjust to.
Some tech perks that may not be for everyone
Even more unusual initially were vehicles that replaced traditional wing mirrors with cameras. As experienced drivers, we are naturally used to constantly checking our mirrors, especially when driving around town and busy roads. However, with camera systems, we found ourselves instinctively looking for mirrors that were no longer there, before having to quickly refocus on the small screens mounted inside the vehicle doors.
It was a reminder of just how quickly automotive technology is changing and how manufacturers continue to push boundaries in both design and innovation.
BAIC Foton into the UK commercial vehicle market
Another interesting development discussed during the event was the arrival of BAIC Foton into the UK commercial vehicle market. Officially launching in the UK in April 2026 through a partnership with International Motors, the brand introduced its new CAVAN C1 Series electric vans, aimed primarily at fleet and logistics operators.
The new CAVAN range has been designed from the ground up as a dedicated electric commercial vehicle platform, rather than adapting an existing diesel van. Built on what is described as a “skateboard” chassis, the vans focus on maximising space, efficiency, and practicality for modern fleet use.
The vehicles are available in several different sizes and configurations, including short and long wheelbase models, cargo variants, and passenger versions, giving businesses flexibility depending on their operational requirements.
One of the standout features is the fast-charging capability, with the vans able to gain approximately 60 Miles of range in just 10 minutes of charging. Depending on specification, the vehicles can also offer a driving range of up to 200 Miles, making them well suited for urban deliveries and day-to-day fleet operations.
The vans also feature modern driver assistance and safety technology, including advanced ADAS systems, highlighting how quickly the commercial vehicle sector is evolving alongside the passenger car market.
A huge thank you to Fleet Procure for hosting another fantastic industry event. We look forward to attending again in the future.
