The Citroën Dispatch was designed to optimise flexibility in the medium van sector by offering three overall lengths (XS, M and XL), to provide load floor measurements between 3.32m and 4.02m long, with a maximum payload of 1,400kg.

A full-height front steel bulkhead is part of the extensive standard equipment fitted to all Dispatch panel vans, which also includes ABS with Emergency Brake Assist, Electronic Stability Control and ASR traction control with Hill Assist, central locking with deadlocks, cruise control with programmable speed limiter, driver’s seat height and lumbar adjustment with arm rest, driver and front passenger airbags, DAB radio with Bluetooth® connectivity, USB connector and audio jack, front electric windows and twin sliding side loading doors.

Best Pick Up

The new generation Isuzu D-Max has been awarded What Van? Pick-Up of The Year for 2018 with the title praising both its substance and style.

Judges were impressed by the economy and refinement of the new 164 PS turbo diesel engine, a step up from the previous model that improves performance and builds upon the Isuzu D-Max’s workhorse character.

Retaining the 3.5 tonne towing capacity and over 1 tonne payload, the new generation Isuzu D-Max was praised for providing a quieter, more economical driving experience. The new 1.9L turbo engine also meets Euro 6 standards without the need for the addition of AdBlue.

The breadth of the Isuzu D-Max range also impressed judges; with single, extended and double-cab formats available, as well as a wide choice of trim levels. Coupled with the attractive five-year/125,000-mile warranty package and five years’ roadside assistance (in the UK & Europe), the D-MAX proved it was truly built for the professionals who use it.

Best 4x4 Van

The Dacia Duster Commercial 4x4 has retained its grip on the Best 4x4 Van category at the What Van? Awards 2018, winning the honour for the third consecutive year.

Based on the Dacia Duster – the most affordable new SUV in the UK – the Duster Commercial 4x4 once again took the title after impressing the expert judging panel with its rugged go-anywhere capability and unrivalled value. Combining the driveability and comfort of an award-winning SUV with a 1,604-litre maximum load capacity and the low P11D cost and other financial benefits of being classified as an LCV, the Duster Commercial is the perfect vehicle for those who need a spacious working vehicle that can venture off-road when required.

The Dacia Duster Commercial 4x4 has a flat load area in lieu of rear seats and a payload of 550kg. Available in two different trim levels – Ambiance and Lauréate – the Duster Commercial 4x4 receives Bluetooth connectivity, electric front windows and a heated rear screen even on entry-level versions. The Lauréate version adds features such as cruise control, leather steering wheel, alloy wheels, air conditioning and electric heated door mirrors.

The Duster Commercial is offered with one business-oriented diesel engine – the dCi 110 unit, the best-selling Groupe Renault diesel powertrain, either as a 4x2 or a robust, go-anywhere 4x4. The 4x2 dCi 110 returns up to 64.2mpg (NEDC Combined), with CO2 emissions as low as 115 g/km

Best Light Van

The Fiat Professional Doblo Cargo has been named ‘Light Van of the Year’ for the third successive time at the prestigious What Van? Awards 2018. And, in a highly successful awards ceremony for Fiat Professional, the brand’s popular Fiorino was highly commended in the ‘Small Van’ category, demonstrating the depth and appeal of Fiat Professional's light commercial vehicle line-up.

The Doblo Cargo’s payload of up to one tonne, the load volume of up to 5.0m3, and the range of efficient 1.3-litre and 1.6-litre diesel and 1.4-litre petrol engines have made the multi award-winning van top choice not only for fleet operators, but for the awards’ judging panel too.

Green Award

The 100% electric Renault Kangoo Z.E. has underlined its class-leading efficiency and environmental compatibility by winning the coveted Green Award at the What Van? Awards 2018.

The latest Kangoo Van Z.E.33 offers an official NEDC (New European Driving Cycle) range of 170 miles, which represents an increase of over 60 per cent on the previous model and equates to a real-world range of 124 miles

Making a significant contribution to the class-leading range of the latest Kangoo Van Z.E.33 is a new, higher density 33kWh battery, which although having significantly more storage capacity than the previous battery, is physically the same size. While ensuring the van can travel a longer distance between charges, the compact dimensions of the advanced battery also mean there is little impact on the available payload of up to 640kgs.

The Renault Kangoo Van Z.E.33 is available in a range of body styles, including Kangoo Van Z.E.33, Kangoo Maxi Z.E.33, Kangoo Maxi Crew Van Z.E.33 and Kangoo Maxi Crew Van Cab Z.E.33. As well as improved range, the Kangoo Van Z.E.33 benefits from improved charging capabilities – charging from 0 to 100 per cent in six hours, compared to eight hours (for a lower range) on the previous version — all thanks to a new 32 amp charger.
